About Thuy To Studio

It started with a photo shoot that disappointed

Thuy To Studio was born from an everyday disappointment: a family photo session that did not deliver what we hoped for. Founder To Thi Thuy decided to build the kind of studio she would want to bring her own family to.

The studio is run by a husband-and-wife team: Thuy leads makeup and styling, Vu Manh Thang handles photography, editing and media. Makeup is where it all began — it is the registered core business of Thuy To Makeup.

  1. 2019Thuy leaves accounting to become a full-time makeup artist.
  2. 2021Thuy To Studio opens in Vinhomes Gardenia, Hanoi.
  3. 2024The family and the studio move to Vinhomes Ocean Park 2; first large corporate shoot for MDLand Vietnam.
  4. 2025–2026Backstage makeup for Miss Vietnam and designer Phan Dang Hoang; clients from 14 countries and territories.

Frequently asked questions

I have never had a professional shoot. Will I look good?

Absolutely. Most of our clients have never been photographed professionally. We guide every pose — where to put your hands, where to look — and choose angles and light that suit you. Each shot appears on a big screen so we can review it together.

What do I need to bring?

Almost nothing. Outfits, props, makeup and hair are all provided. For business portraits, bring the outfit you want to be seen in; families may bring their own outfits. We advise on colours and styles beforehand.

Do I have to pay a deposit right away?

No. Leave your details and we will call you back and send sample albums first. When you book, a 30% deposit holds your date; you can reschedule once for free with at least 3 days notice.

When will I receive my photos?

It depends on the service: maternity and family photos in about 7 days, engagement photos 10 days, pre-wedding photos 15 days, wedding-day coverage 20 days; the Forever maternity package in 48 hours. The exact date is confirmed when you book.

Where is the studio?

No. 68, San Ho 19 Street, Vinhomes Ocean Park 2, Nghia Tru, Hung Yen — about 15–20 minutes from Gia Lam, Long Bien, Ecopark and Van Giang, with free parking. It is roughly 20 km east of central Hanoi.

Do you shoot outdoors or at home?

Yes: around Ocean Park, ao dai at Hoan Kiem Lake, the Imperial Citadel and the Old Quarter, weddings in Ha Long and Tam Dao; with the At Home maternity package we come to you. For maternity and family shoots, travel within 10 km is free and 10–20 km is 300,000đ; for other services travel costs are confirmed before booking.

Do you work with international clients?

Yes. We have welcomed clients from 14 countries and territories, and our team speaks English, so no interpreter is needed.

What are your opening hours? Do you shoot on weekends?

We are open 8:00–20:00 every day, weekends included. The Moment maternity package is Monday to Friday only, and some outdoor services carry a weekend surcharge — we always confirm this before booking.

Do you teach makeup?

Yes. The 5-session personal makeup course: Basic 999,000đ, VIP 1,499,000đ, VVIP 1:1 3,999,000đ — the VVIP course is taught one-to-one by Thuy herself.
